It is supposed to be the oldest in Europe although there are many other places that claim to have older ones. Everything from the tree can be used and nothing is thrown away. The wood is excellent for barbecue and if you have been in Italy in areas like the Chianti you can see the beautiful kitchen utensils and even sculptures made out of it.
