Rep. Ed Markey (D-MA) declines to stand to speak in opposition to a GOP bill repudiating pollution

Rep. Ed Markey (D-MA) declines to stand to speak in opposition to a GOP bill repudiating pollution's effects on the environment, fearing the Republicans will next overturn the law of gravity. The only thing the GOP heard, read: understood, from that eloquent speech is "oil... levels... rise... that is... Special." They will follow up with bemused grunts of approval before passing the bill regardless.
If we make a law, then it's true.
Corporations need the ability to pollute. Corporations pay our salaries. Pollution pays our salaries. Pollution is OK.
