Many Republican candidates argue that "Government should stay out of people's lives", yet, many of these same candidates are the ones fighting for gay marriage and abortion to be illegal. How does this make sense in any way?

Republican politicians don't actually care about any of this shit, they just know that their base is incoherent enough to support both platforms at once as fervently as they possibly can. It keeps them in line.-- NickConrad
