American commentary seems to be more about generalizations that are just a waste of air, instead of actually adding something to the broadcast.
It reminds me of the video where Mark Cuban rips a ESPN commentator a new one for his lousy performance. Citing that the commentator knows nothing of the sport and that he just talks in generalizations. He even quizzes him on some simple strategies in basketball and yet the commentator fails to respond.
