KIRSTENBOSCH BOTANICAL GARDENS (SOUTH AFRICA)

Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens is located in Cape Town and is one of South Africa’s 8 national botanical gardens. It was founded in 1913 with the purpose of preserving the unique flora of the area.

RYOAN-JI ZEN GARDEN (JAPAN)

Ryoan-ji is a Zen temple in Kyoto, Japan. The rock garden is thought to have been built in the late 15th century. The garden includes raked gravel and 15 boulders. The boulders are laid out so that from any point around the garden only 14 can be seen.

YUYUAN GARDEN (CHINA)

Yuyuan Garden or Yu Garden is located in Shanghai and was first established in 1559 as a private garden. In 1961 the gardens were opened to the public after being repaired by the government.
